The phytochemicals are derived from the leaf of this popular tropical fruit tree. Historical ethnobotanical use is said to be sedative and anti-spasmodic. Sometimes used to treat, cleanse and support the liver, treat catarrh, and considered anthelmintic, antidiuretic, anti-asthmatic and digestive. Directions: Graviola is a full spectrum, botanical tea that can be extracted in heated water. Add one teaspoon of dried herb to 16 ounces of boiling water. Stir in herbs then remove from heat. Allow to steep until fully colored and flavored with the essence of the herb (at least 5 minutes). Strain, sweeten or flavor if desired. Serve warm or allow to cool and store in the refrigerator. Typically 1 to 4 cups of Graviola tea are taken daily. Warning: Be sure to test a small amount for possible allergic reactions. Use under the supervision of a licensed health care practitioner.
